1. Our Payment Philosophy

At CEREVITY, we operate as a 100% private-pay therapy practice. We do not contract with, bill, or accept insurance of any kind. This is by design.

Our private-pay model allows us to provide you with the highest level of care, flexibility, and, most importantly, complete privacy and confidentiality. No insurance means no diagnoses on your permanent record, no third-party access to your sessions, and no limits on what we can work on together.

2. Session Rates

  • Standard Session (50 min): $175
  • Extended Session (90 min): $300
  • Intensive Session (3 hours): $525

3. Membership Options

For clients seeking ongoing, consistent care, we offer concierge memberships:

  • Concierge Monthly ($900/mo): 4 standard sessions included, priority scheduling, additional sessions at $150
  • Concierge Premium ($1,800/mo): 4 standard sessions included, 1 extended 90-min session, VIP same/next day scheduling, additional sessions at $150

4. Why Private Pay?

Private pay is especially valuable for:

  • High-profile professionals: Executives, attorneys, physicians, and anyone in the public eye
  • Those with security clearances: Military, government, or defense industry professionals
  • Licensed professionals: Individuals whose professional licenses require mental health disclosure
  • Business owners and entrepreneurs: Those seeking key person insurance or business loans
  • Privacy-conscious individuals: Anyone who values complete confidentiality
  • Those planning major insurance changes: Individuals applying for life insurance, disability insurance, or long-term care coverage

What Private Pay Protects:

  • Your therapy stays between you and your therapist, with no exceptions unless legally required
  • No documentation sent to insurance companies, employers, or government databases
  • No risk of mental health records affecting professional licenses, security clearances, or career opportunities
  • No session limits imposed by insurance companies
  • Treatment decisions are made by you and your therapist, not an insurance company

5. Why CEREVITY Does Not Accept Insurance

Our decision to remain fully private-pay is intentional and benefits you in several ways:

  • Your privacy comes first: We do not share treatment notes, diagnoses, or session content with insurance companies
  • No session limits: We provide care based on your needs, not arbitrary insurance restrictions
  • Treatment freedom: We are not constrained by insurance-approved treatment modalities or session lengths
  • No pre-authorization hassles: You do not need insurance approval to start or continue therapy
  • Quality over quantity: We maintain smaller caseloads to provide personalized, high-quality care
  • Clinical autonomy: Treatment decisions are made by you and your therapist

6. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods for therapy services:

  • Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
  • Debit cards
  • HSA (Health Savings Account)
  • FSA (Flexible Spending Account)

Payment is due at the time of service. We do not bill clients after sessions.

7. Using HSA or FSA Funds

Many clients use their Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for therapy sessions. Mental health services generally qualify as eligible expenses under both HSA and FSA plans. Check with your plan administrator to confirm eligibility.

8. Receipts and Documentation

We provide detailed receipts for all sessions upon request. These receipts include the information you would need if you choose to submit them to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement on your own. Please note that submitting to insurance is entirely your decision, and doing so will involve sharing clinical information with your insurance company.

9. Changes to This Policy

CEREVITY reserves the right to modify session rates and payment policies at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Existing clients will be notified of rate changes at least 30 days in advance.
