Leveraging Your E.Passport and APIT Across State Lines
As of 2026, PSYPACT has been adopted by 42 jurisdictions, including 40 states, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the District of Columbia. When you hold an active E.Passport and APIT credential through ASPPB, you can provide telepsychology services to clients located in any of these participating jurisdictions without obtaining additional state licenses.
At CEREVITY, this means your caseload is not limited by geography. A client in Texas, a client in New York (pending legislation), a client in Florida. All through the same secure telehealth platform, all under your existing PSYPACT authorization. CEREVITY’s infrastructure is built to support multi-state telehealth from day one. Our EHR (Jane App), intake processes, and billing systems are all configured for nationwide telehealth operations.
States not currently participating in PSYPACT include Alaska, California, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, and Puerto Rico. Several of these states have introduced PSYPACT legislation in 2025-2026 legislative sessions. If you hold independent licensure in any non-PSYPACT state, that coverage can supplement your PSYPACT reach within the CEREVITY network.
Frequently Asked Questions
You must hold an active doctoral-level psychology license in at least one PSYPACT participating state, along with a current E.Passport and APIT (Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology) credential issued through ASPPB. You will also need active professional liability (malpractice) insurance. If you hold licenses in non-PSYPACT states as well, those expand your potential coverage area within our network.
This is an independent contractor role. You are not an employee of CEREVITY. You maintain full clinical autonomy, set your own schedule, and are responsible for your own taxes and malpractice insurance. CEREVITY provides the business infrastructure (marketing, leads, billing, technology) while you handle all clinical care independently.
CEREVITY generates client leads through our extensive digital marketing infrastructure, including over 700 published clinical articles, SEO, and targeted outreach. Clients contact CEREVITY, complete an intake process, and are matched with a provider based on specialization, availability, and geographic coverage. You will receive pre-qualified, motivated clients who have already committed to private-pay rates.
Compensation is $100 per 50-minute individual therapy session, paid on a per-session basis. This is a private-pay model with no insurance involvement, which means no claim denials, no prior authorizations, and no reimbursement delays. Payment is processed through CEREVITY’s billing infrastructure.
No. CEREVITY handles all business operations including marketing, client acquisition, lead generation, billing, payment processing, and scheduling technology (Jane App). Your sole responsibility is providing excellent clinical care. You will need to maintain your own clinical documentation within the provided EHR system, which is a standard expectation for any independent clinician.
With an active PSYPACT APIT credential, you can see clients located in any of the 42+ PSYPACT participating jurisdictions. CEREVITY operates nationwide, so your client base is limited only by your PSYPACT coverage and any additional state licenses you hold independently. As more states enact PSYPACT legislation, your coverage area grows automatically.

You will not be competing with hundreds of other providers for the same client pool or dealing with insurance-dictated session limits.
