I'm Elijah.
I co-founded CEREVITY to solve a problem I kept seeing up close: high-performing professionals burning out while the mental healthcare system failed to meet them where they are. My role is everything that isn’t clinical. I build and maintain the technology platform, manage operations, lead marketing and growth, oversee compliance, and ensure that every touchpoint of the CEREVITY experience meets the standard our clients expect. If something works seamlessly behind the scenes, that’s my side of the house.
What I Build
CEREVITY runs on a custom-built digital infrastructure designed from the ground up for security, performance, and client experience. I architect and maintain the full technology stack: our web platform, EHR integrations, intake systems, scheduling workflows, encrypted communications, and content delivery. Every system is built to protect client privacy while removing friction from the process of getting help. I also lead our SEO and content strategy, provider recruitment pipeline, and business development efforts. The goal is simple: make it effortless for the right clients to find the right clinicians, and make it seamless for our providers to do their best work.
My Focus
I focus on operational excellence and scalable systems. CEREVITY serves high-achieving professionals nationwide, and that requires infrastructure that performs at their level. My work spans HIPAA-compliant technology architecture, provider network growth and credentialing operations, data-driven content marketing, digital PR and authority building, and compliance frameworks that keep us audit-ready at all times. I treat our operations the way our clinicians treat their clients: with precision, intentionality, and zero tolerance for cutting corners.
How I Work
I believe in building things right the first time. Two decades of web development, IT operations, and healthcare technology have taught me that the best systems are the ones you never have to think about. I bring that philosophy to everything at CEREVITY: the platform should be invisible, the experience should feel effortless, and the technology should never get in the way of the human connection at the center of what we do. I’m direct, I move fast, and I hold everything I build to the same standard our clients hold themselves.
My Path to CEREVITY
I came up through IT operations and web development, spending nearly 20 years building digital platforms and managing technology infrastructure in healthcare and other industries. I earned my MSW from USC and my BA from UC Berkeley, and I hold both PMP and CISSP certifications. Before co-founding CEREVITY, I served as Director of IT at a behavioral health organization, where I saw firsthand how broken the backend of mental healthcare really is. That experience is what drives me now. CEREVITY exists because I know the technology and operations side of healthcare can be built better, and I’m building it.
What I'm Building Toward
CEREVITY is not a volume play. We are building a boutique, concierge telehealth network that operates at a level most practices never attempt. My goal on the operations side is a nationwide provider network of exceptional clinicians supported by technology that lets them focus entirely on clinical care. Every system I build, every process I design, and every partnership I develop serves one objective: making CEREVITY the most trusted name in concierge mental healthcare for high-achieving professionals.
Why It Matters
The people who build companies, lead teams, and drive innovation are the same people least likely to have access to mental healthcare that actually fits their lives. The systems are slow, the providers are overloaded, and the experience is often worse than the problem it’s supposed to solve. I co-founded CEREVITY with my wife, Martha Fernandez, LCSW, because we knew we could fix that. She brings the clinical expertise. I bring the infrastructure. Together, we’re building something that didn’t exist before: a mental health practice purpose-built for the people who refuse to settle for less in any other area of their lives.
